Svanasöngur sýnir hringferð í kringum syðri tjörnina í miðborg Reykjavíkur. Verkið er tekið um miðjan vetur, um nótt. Í ferlinu sjást helstu kennileiti borgarinnar, eins og Ráðhúsið og Háskólinn, í bakgrunni. Áherslan í verkinu liggur hins vegar í hljóðinu, en úti á ísjökum tjarnarinnar liggja álftir og kvaka. Þessi náttúrulegi ómur eins og yfirgnæfir ljósin að baki.
Verkið er einar rása vídeóverk, sem ætlað er að vera varpað í myrkvuðu rými þannig að myndin nái frá gólfi upp í loft.
Verkið var sýnt í tengslum við ráðstefnuna „Art in Translation“ í Norræna húsinu árið 2014.

Swan song documents a round trip around the southern part of Tjörnin, the pond in the center of Reykjavík. The work is shot in the middle of winter, at night. In the process, the city’s main landmarks, such as the City Hall and the University, can be seen in the background. The emphasis in the work, however, is on the sound, but located on the ice in the middle of the pond from where one hears the crying of swans. This natural refrain seems to overwhelm the city-lights beyond. The work is a single-channel video work, intended to be projected in a darkened space so that the image reaches from the floor to the ceiling. The work was shown in connection with the conference „Art in Translation“ at the Nordic House in 2014.
