Boxhagener Platz — ný vídeóinnsetning / a new video installation

Vídeóhluti innsetningar sem byggir myndefni sitt á einu vinsælasta garða-torgi í Berlín, Boxhagener Platz í fyrrum Austur-Berlín.
A two channel video that is part of an installational ensemble that is a structured examination of one of the most popular garden-squares in Berlin, Boxhagener Platz located in former East Berlin.

[lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”false”]Kybnning á nýju verki, sem er tveggja rása vídeóhluti innsetningar sem byggir myndefni sitt á einu vinsælasta garða-torgi í Berlín, Boxhagener Platz í fyrrum Austur-Berlín. Torgið hefur allt frá aldamótum 1900 verið vinsæll áningarstaður ungs fólks til að hittast á góðviðrisdögum. Það er ferhyrnt með byggingum á alla vegu, ein af mörgum garðavinjum í borgarlandslagi Berlínarborgar.

Verkið samanstendur af tveimur hlutum, tveggja rása vídeóverki tekið á göngu hringinn í kring um torgið, klippt út frá reglu aukastafa tölunnar pí, og safni 16 ljósmynda sem teknar eru með reglulegu millibili allt í kring um torgið.

Vídeóhluti verksins er 2 rása vídeóverk þar sem gengið er meðfram tjörninni í báðar áttir, klippt út frá reglu sem byggir á aukastöfum tölunnar pí. Rásirnar eru 2 í sýningareintaki verksins, til sýningar á tveimur 4K skjávörpun í innsetningu.

[lgc_column grid=”50″ tablet_grid=”50″ mobile_grid=”100″ last=”true”]An introduction to a new work, a two channel video that is part of an installational ensemble  that is a structured examination of one of the most popular garden-squares in Berlin, Boxhagener Platz located in former East Berlin. The square has since the early 20th centurey been a popular meeting place where young people hang out and relax together in good weather. It is a square with buildings on all sides, one of the many constructed gardens in the midst of the metropolis.

The work is comprised of two parts; a 2 channel video projection made by walking round the square in both directions, edited in accordance with a series of numbers derived from the digits of hexadecimal pi; and a series of 16 photographs taken at regular intervals around the square itself.
